I have a main policy when it comes to any of the above: Honesty. I am very honest with my readers. If I don’t like a product I will say so. I usually will critique about what could make the product better and what I like about it. It is rare when I don’t have anything nice to say about a product.
Reviewing or Promoting a Product:
For me, these are the same thing. When it comes to reviewing or promoting a product I usually would be writing just a blog post about it. If you are interested in long term promotion check out advertising below.
When it comes to the show or product I have to be interested in what you have or what you are working on. Here are a list of products I will promote or work with depending on my interest level:
- Books
- Games
- Geekery
- Movies
- Web Series
- Makeup
- Fashion
- Kickstarter Projects (since I am a broke college student I love giving help by talking about a product or idea)
- Technology (cool, quirky products.)
If I do enjoy a product so much, I will get back in touch with you to express interest in doing a giveaway.
There is one exception, I am not a sports fanatic nor would I consider myself to be a expert on it. If it is sports related and not related to Volunteer Football, it would be best to look elsewhere.
Guest Posts or Interviews:
I would usually be glad to give an interview depending on the topic. I will review your blog and your history in regards to how guests post are done and will probably contact past individuals who you have interviewed to learn about the experience. Sadly, since there have been cases I have heard about where people have been rude or inappropriate, I don’t want to take a chance. It is nothing personal, it’s just one has to stay safe these days.
Advertising
If you want me to have an image on my page linking and advertising your product, blog or show; That is a different can of worms. Since it all depends on what the product is, how long you want to work with me, the size of the advertisement, etc. we would have to arrange a contract of some sorts through email.
